Football Portraits

Trying to shoot something other than mugshots of the top football players in the area...was supposed to shoot three this AM, but one didn't show. Two here...three tomorrow(?) hopefully.

Linebacker.

I like these Bekah. I think the top one, the wide shot of the linebacker with all the tires, is your strongest photo and is beautifully done. Its aware of the tonality in the frame, and the hard lighting does well here.

I dunno about the broken glass picture. It feels out of place in a series like this, without seeing his who face and body. What about a wider one from the take for that?

Anyways, I love em, and cant wait to see the last one!

I think you're right that they don't necessarily hold together as a set...I struggle with creating visual variety while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic...last summer I shot a portrait series and it was basically five of the same picture over and over again...tomorrow I start another set of five for a different county. The location is different--a small municipal airport with a bunch of old planes...we'll see how I do.
